Upcoming Gala w/Edyta & Alec

This week Friday (October 7th), Edyta and Alec will be performing at St. Mary Mercy Hospital's 19th Annual Gala.  More information can be found here.

Edyta Talks About "Ballroom with a Twist" & My Etsy Shop

Hollywood Dailies did a segment on "Ballroom with a Twist" and talked to some of the dancers.  Louis was the main interviewee, but Edyta was briefly interviewed, starting at 1:13.



Also, I want to apologize for my previous article.  I said Edyta and Alec would be performing on August 13th, but I checked the date of the article later and found it was from July!  That means the video I posted earlier of them dancing to Big Bad Voodoo Daddy was from the event I was talking about.  I'll make sure to check the dates more carefully in the future.

On a more personal note, I would like to let you all know that for the past couple of months, one of the big projects I have been working on has to do with my jewelry-making.  I like to make charms out of polymer clay that look like little sweets such as lollipops, chocolates, and pieces of pie and cake.  They then become necklaces, earrings, charm bracelets, key chains, and cell phone charms!

Edyta & Alec Dancing to Big Bad Voodoo Daddy

Hello everyone!  It's been a long time, and I apologize for the wait.  Things have been really complicated lately, and I haven't had a lot of time on my hands.  I want to thank all my followers who have stuck with me these past two months.  It means a lot to me!

"Dancing for a VARI Good Cause" Results

So as you all know, Edyta and Alec performed at the "Dancing for a VARI Good Cause" event at JW Marriott in Grand Rapids, Michigan.  There is a very short glimpse of them dancing from 0:08 to 0:15 in this WZZM 13 news video, which briefly covered the event.  The winner was David Van Andel.

"Dance Temptation" & Alec's Dancing Tips

There's been some buzz generating about two events I mentioned in previous articles: "Dancing for a VARI Good Cause" (to be performed at JW Marriott in Grand Rapids, Michigan today) and Edyta and Alec's very own theater production, "Dance Temptation" (to be performed at the Niagara Fallsview Casino in Niagara Falls, Ontario during July and August).

Future Events

Edyta and Alec will be appearing on "Ballroom with a Twist" at Reagle Music Theatre in Waltham, Massachusetts for one day on May 15 at 2:00 PM.  To find out more information and get tickets, go to http://www.reaglemusictheatre.org/.

Edyta & Alec's Second Cameo on Jay Leno

Edyta tweeted that she and Alec would be making another appearance on Jay Leno, but wasn't sure if it was going to air on Thursday or Friday.  I looked through both episodes and did not see the two of them, so today, I checked Monday's episode (it will be available until April 28) and found their cameo:



It starts at 5:07 and lasts for about 30 seconds. Basically, they talk about Libya's leader, Colonel Gaddafi, starring on "Dancing with the Stars", and you get to see Edyta dancing with "Gaddafi" (I'm pretty sure that's Alec with Gaddafi's image put in place).  While certainly interesting, I found it a shame their appearance wasn't longer.

Edyta & Alec's Cameo on Jay Leno

Yesterday, Alec and Edyta both tweeted that they were going to be on "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno" and that their appearance had something to do with President Obama.  Here's what they said:

I found the episode yesterday on "The Tonight Show" website, and unfortunately, it is only available for viewing until April 15, so make sure to watch it right away.  Jay Leno indirectly introduces them at 2:10 and they make about a 50-second appearance:

Video About Edyta's Eye Surgery

Many of you know via Edyta's Twitter that she underwent eye surgery last year. I found this video a few months ago (and recently found it again) of KTLA interviewing Edyta about her surgery and showing some behind-the-scenes as to what actually happened.  Alec makes an appearance, coming in to see how Edyta was doing after the surgery procedure, and the two of them also show some sweet dance moves.

Dancing for a VARI Good Cause Featuring Edyta & Alec

Two Interviews w/Edyta & Alec

Sheena Metal of the talk show, "The Sheena Metal Experience", did a radio interview in early February with Edyta and Alec, who talked about DWTS and upcoming projects.  You can listen to it here.

I also found on the Pure DWTS website a link to a KTLA interview with Edyta and Alec about "Ballroom with a Twist".  They don't talk very much, but you get to see them dancing, which is always nice:

 

Edyta Speaking Polish

We all know the gorgeous Edyta is one hot Polish babe, but we never got to hear her speak her native language on DWTS. Not to fear, though. On YouTube, I came across this interview of her. Jump to 0:27 to hear her speak:

Kirstie Alley Mimics Edyta & Does the Cha-Cha-Cha!

Kirstie Alley has to be one of the greatest contestants to participate in DWTS this season.  She's funny, charismatic, gets along with Maks, and can definitely dance.  I loved this rehearsal footage of her mimicking Edyta's "booms":



And tonight, Kirstie certainly rocked the cha-cha-cha with Maks.  Wonderful performance and very nice technique!

Edyta & Anna at "Discover the Gift"

So Edyta tweeted a couple of days ago about a movie she saw and asked:

The ever so lovely Anna Trebunskaya.  I love how Edyta and Anna are good friends and support each other!  Anna replied with:

It's really nice how Alec and Jonathan are good friends as well.  And as a bonus, Anna included a picture of Edyta, looking beautiful as always:

I love Edyta's dress and earrings and combined with her fantastic looks, it makes for a really striking picture.  Speaking of the wonderful friendship Edyta, Alec, Anna, and Jonathan share, here is a video of them enjoying a dinner (made by Alec himself) at Edyta and Alec's house: http://www.radaronline.com/exclusives/2009/11/exclusive-video-blog-anna-trebunskaya-hangs-jerry-rice.  It was more than a couple of years ago, but it's nice to see them interact!

So while there hasn't been much Edyta and Alec news lately, I did come across this YouTube video of the two of them promoting a UniverseBallroom.com event they will be performing at in Fort Worth, Texas on April 2nd and 3rd:

If this is really Alec's channel, I hope he continues to upload more videos, maybe even ones of him and Edyta dancing!  Edyta also has a YouTube channel, but hasn't uploaded anything to it for a while.  You can find it here.

DWTS Season 1 - Funniest Moments

So I was checking out Alec's Facebook page today, and I came across this awesome video from DWTS Season 1 featuring all six couples running into some...clumsy moments.  It was pretty hilarious to watch, and I especially loved how Kelly Monaco was sitting on Alec when he was doing pushups and vice-versa.  Enjoy!

Ecollywood & Edyta's DWTS Tweet

Edyta, along with Anna Trebunskaya, Karina Smirnoff, and Tia Carrere gave some "green tips" on this Ecollywood video (go to 0:38 for Edyta):



Also, she answered some of her followers on Twitter who had been asking about DWTS, saying:

 

I'm sad she's not coming back, but she should and deserves to pursue her dreams and goals now that she's got the time!  Let's keep our fingers crossed, though, for a pro dance appearance from her and Alec this season!

It's so funny and cute at the same time, but I do hope Alec gets better soon!

Edyta's Movie Premiere Appearances

Edyta is such a gorgeous woman, and I just envy her body and legs (being a short female does make me self-conscious).  As Alec mentioned in an interview, she has an exotic look to her, and that's why I think it's difficult to stop staring whenever she moves.  I love how she can look really sexy but cute at the same time when she's laughing or smiling.  Alec is one lucky man!  It's hard for both guys and girls not to be mesmerized.

She made a few appearances recently at a couple movie premieres.  At the top is a picture of her at "Waiting for Forever".  I totally love the color of her dress and how her clutch goes so well with it!

And to the right, she also came to the "Rock of Ages" premiere, which the press mistakenly reported as "Justin Bieber: Never Say Never".  Edyta took to Twitter to correct this mistake, mentioning that her niece was initially excited, being a big fan of Justin Bieber, but was disappointed when finding out the truth from her.  Cute!

Alec on "Dance Your A** Off"

This wasn't widely publicized and Alec himself didn't spread the word, but he was a guest judge on the ballroom episode of "Dance Your A** Off" this past summer.  He appeared at the beginning to demonstrate a dance with head judge Lisa Ann Walter and give the contestants a few tips.  His main role, though, as a guest judge, was scoring each contestant out of 10 and giving his opinion.

Being that I've only seen Alec as a contestant and pro dancer on DWTS, I have to say he knocked it out of the park as a guest judge.  He had a good mix of compliments and constructive criticism to give and avoided being nitpicky.  Watching him judge made me wish he was on the judging panel for DWTS, but unfortunately, we all know that will never happen.  I'd definitely like to see him reprise the judge role in the future because he gives solid advice that the contestants can actually take and work on.  You can watch the episode here.

Hello and welcome to the Edyta Sliwinska & Alec Mazo fansite!  This is a place where fans can check out the latest news, pictures, and videos of the two very missed "Dancing with the Stars" pros!

Recently, both Edyta and Alec's websites underwent major changes.  They each used to have a blog where fans could share news and pictures and hear from Edyta and Alec themselves, but unfortunately, those blogs have been taken down.

I am one of many fans who miss Edyta and Alec greatly and wish they could come back to DWTS.  However, for now, we will have to make the best of checking them out in "Ballroom with a Twist" and following Edyta on Twitter (Alec doesn't update his Twitter that much).  Please let your friends know about this website, and feel free to contact me if you have any news or pictures regarding Edyta and Alec!
